You may build upon an existing project only if you clearly disclose what was completed before the hackathon. The majority of the work submitted for judging should be developed during the event.

Who can participate?

VoltHacks is open to students, developers, and technology enthusiasts from around the world. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced engineer, you're welcome to participate individually or as part of a team.

Question 3

Do I need prior experience with AI, robotics, or IoT?

Accepted Answer

No. While VoltHacks focuses on AI, robotics, IoT, embedded systems, and software, participants of all skill levels are encouraged to join. Learning and experimentation are a big part of the event.

How will projects be judged?

Projects are evaluated by industry professionals based on five criteria:  Innovation, Technical Complexity, Real-World Impact, Design & Functionality, Presentation Quality

When will winners be announced?

Accepted Answer

Project submissions close on September 5, 2026. Judging will take place shortly afterward, and winners will be announced once all evaluations have been completed. Participants will be notified via Devpost and the email used during registration.
