About this event
ForgeHacks is a free, fully remote AI hackathon running October 3 to 10, 2026, open to students anywhere in the world. It's organized entirely by students.
Most hackathons give you a weekend and a blank page. We give you seven days and a real problem. There are six tracks — AI + Healthcare, Education, Climate, Business, Cybersecurity, and Creativity — and each track's prompt stays locked until Day 1, so nobody arrives with a pre-built project and everyone starts at the same line. You come with skills, not a finished idea.
Seven days changes what's possible. You can scrap a bad idea on day two and still recover. Workshops start at CS basics, and mentor support runs all week, so first-time builders aren't left behind. You don't need a team, prior AI experience, or an idea to begin.
Every participant gets $25 in Featherless AI credits, a full month of unlimited access to 40,000+ open-source models. Prize pool is $7,640 and climbing, with cash, gift cards, and CodeCrafters VIP memberships for winning teams, plus certificates for every team that submits.
Sponsored by Featherless AI, Art of Problem Solving, and CodeCrafters. Judges include engineers from NVIDIA, Apple, Electronic Arts, and Cockroach Labs.
