Is this online or offline? Do we need to travel?

Applications, review, and the pitch round are all conducted online: you don't need to travel. If a shortlisted team is invited for an optional in-person round, that will be communicated separately in advance.

Question 2

Is this genuine? How do you actually pay out ₹50,000?

HackIn Drive is run by UpcomingEngineer.Com, an established platform for engineering students (jobs, internships, and campus resources). Funding is released in stages, tied to project milestones, directly to the winning team, not routed through the college. Full terms are in the rulebook.

Question 3

Can teams have members from different colleges?

Accepted Answer

Yes, interdisciplinary and inter-college teams are welcome, as long as all members are pre-final/final-year engineering students in India.

Question 4

Do we get a certificate / does this count even if we don't win?

Accepted Answer

All applicants who complete a valid submission receive a participation certificate. Shortlisted teams get an additional certificate for reaching the pitch round, and winning teams get a funding certificate alongside the grant.

Question 5

What happens to our project idea/IP: do you take any rights over it?

Accepted Answer

Teams retain full ownership and IP rights to their project. UpcomingEngineer.Com does not claim any ownership, licensing, or usage rights over submitted ideas, participation is solely for evaluation, mentorship, and funding purposes.
