About this event

All that you need to know about Robo Run

Guidelines:

A team shouldn't contain more than 5 members.
Bot Dimensions: Smaller than 20 * 20 cms.

Participants are required to build an autonomous (not to be operated by a remote controller) line follower Bot, which can reach the end point of a maze in the shortest possible time. ( The line thickness will be 3-4 cm)

Video submission round:

This will be a submission round! You will have to prepare a small maze with two curves and show your line-following bot running on it. Shoot a video clip and attach the file.

Round -1:

In round 1, every team will be given a chance to run through the maze.
The top set of teams will be qualified to final round.
Shortlisting will be done based on the points you acquire. Refer to the problem statement for scoring criteria.

Round -2:

In round 2, the maze will additionally contain yellow blocks (10cm*10cm*10cm) directly placed on top of yellow squares.
These yellow blocks are to be displaced from the square. The sqaures will act as a checkpoint only if the block is displaced completely.
The maze and scoring pattern will be different between the two rounds.

Robo Run Description:

A Bot shall not be larger in length or width than 20 cm.
There are no restrictions on the height of a Bot.
A Bot should essentially comprise a drive motor to move it; a steering and turning method; sensors to detect the maze turns; sensors to ignore the action of the rest Bots and a source to provide power.
A Bot shall be self-contained (no remote controls). A Bot shall not use an energy source employing a combustion process.
Required sensors may be used for identifying the block and the maze line.
A Bot shall not leave any part of its body behind while navigating the maze.
A Bot shall not jump over, fly over, climb, scratch, cut, burn, mark, damage, or destroy the line of the maze. Judges can debar any machine if it is likely to cause damage to the maze in any way.
