🚀 Root to Shoot VentureFest 2026 is a National-Level Entrepreneurship Mega Event organised by the Entrepreneurship Development Cell (EDC), Department of Computer Science and Engineering, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Vadapalani Campus, Chennai.
🌱 Engineering Ideas into Enterprises
VentureFest is a two-day entrepreneurial journey designed to take student innovators from idea to customer validation to investor evaluation through an immersive, hands-on experience.
Day 1 – The Germination & Sapling Day 🌱
Learn from experienced founders and pitching coaches through focused sessions on customer validation, sales strategy and investor-ready pitching. Selected student venture teams will then participate in the Live ShootStreet Mock Market, where they pitch their ideas to a live audience and experience real-time validation through registrations, votes and simulated sales.
Day 2 – The Flowering Day 🌸
Shortlisted ventures advance to the Root-to-Shoot Shark Tank, presenting their ventures before a panel comprising founders, investors, incubation and entrepreneurship experts. Teams will defend their business model, unit economics, scalability and growth strategy through a structured investor-style pitch and Q&A.
🏆 The event concludes with jury feedback, recognition of the Top 3 ventures and opportunities for incubation-oriented support.
