STREAM LAB 1.0 is India’s first 24-hour AI Media Tech Hackathon, designed and organized by students, for students, with the objective of solving real-world challenges at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence, Media Technology, and Digital Platforms. The event is organized by SMADN Agency in collaboration with StartupTN, Shortfundly, and GUVI, creating a strong bridge between student innovators and the startup ecosystem.
The hackathon follows an open innovation model in Round 1, where participants can submit ideas from any domain. However, solutions aligned with AI + Media Tech—including OTT platforms, content technology, creator tools, media automation, personalization systems, AI-driven editing, and digital media workflows—will be given stronger preference during evaluation.
STREAM LAB 1.0 is structured as a two-stage event.
The first stage involves online idea submission and screening, after which the top shortlisted teams will be invited to the 24-hour offline hackathon. During the final round, participants will work intensively on problem statements, build functional concepts or prototypes, and present their solutions to an expert jury panel.
In addition to the hackathon, Day 2 features an Entrepreneurship Summit, open to all registered participants. This includes panel discussions and knowledge-sharing sessions with founders, entrepreneurs, and ecosystem leaders, offering students real-world insights into startups, innovation, and career pathways.
The event offers a total prize pool worth ₹10 Lakhs, and all participants receive free access to the Day 2 Entrepreneurship Summit. STREAM LAB 1.0 is exclusively open to college students, with a strong emphasis on learning, execution, collaboration, and industry exposure.
